Many prefer to walk the city streets.
Well I’m one of the few who sings to the trees.
It’s just the way my heart is pleased. x2
I can’t go more than a day without the rain.
As the wind speaks, it rids my mind of pain.
It’s times like this when it becomes obvious,
Not all things will stay the same.
Here we go, as the sun rises.
Moon glow rolls in with those sad surprises.
Taken from me, abandoned in brief.
So quickly I’m socked by a friend, not a thief.
I can’t go more than a day without the rain.

Why do you push yourself to be what others want?
I know you tried so hard, but look how far you got.
It’s so overwhelming to look back and see that they’re
Laughing at you, they just don’t understand who they are.
Nobody even knows, not one single soul sees you feeling out of place tonight.
Everybody’s got their hair matching, because they’re scared to stand out, to act the ways they learned to love.
It’s you, and me, and harmony.
Yeah it’s love, don’t you see? It keeps us the way we should be.
It’s choice that we seek, it knocks us right off of our feet.
It’s all that we need, to open our hearts and be set free.
Take a step back now, and look around you.
They spend so much time making up things that just aren’t true.
And ask yourself this, “why would I want to kick the whole
being me thing and go be mean to someone else?”
Don't you worry about the things that might not last,
They’ll only keep your head and heart in the past.

The light off the waves? It makes me breathe easily.

I wish all my doubts would simmer away.
With pain at the crossroads, I’d rather just stay.
As long as I wait, I’ll be lost.
The more that I say, the more who will cross.
So I’ll just stay quiet.
And you’ll just deny it.
But there’s something I wanted to know.
How did you go? Where did you go?
Now I’m all alone, just figuring things out…
…for myself.
